How to Get Rid of Pimples
The first thought in many people, is to pop a pimple when they see it. Think this out, because if you try to pop a pimple before it is “mature”as it asks for an infection. Trying to pop a pimple that is not ready guide the bacteria deeper into the pores and can lead to infections, cysts and even scarring. If you get a pimple wait until you see the yellow kitty ready to explode before fumbling to pop the pimple.
If the pimple is ready to pop then you can proceed. The first thing you will need is a small sharp sewing needle, warm water, gauze pads or band-aids and a bottle of rubbing alcohol. Start by pouring a small amount of the alcohol into a small bowl and immersing the needle in the alcohol for 15-30 seconds. This is enough to sterilize the needle for this simple surgical procedure.
While the needle is soaking in its alcohol bath you can wash your hands and face to make sure they are clean of all dirt, bacteria makeup or other external junk. To be extra safe you can dip your fingers in the alcohol as well and use one of the gauze pads to clean the area around the pimple with alcohol. You may not be ready for a surgical suite at this point, but you’ll be well sterilized for removing a pimple without risking further infection.
Now take the needle and gently prick the white part of the pimple so that you break through the skin. Next take two of the gauze pads and place one on either side of the pimple and gently and evenly apply pressure to the sides of the pimple to squeeze the pus out. Continue applying gentle pressure until you see clear liquid or blood coming out of the pimple. Once you get to this point you’ve gotten the majority of the pus and bacteria out and the pimple is gone.
Soak one of the gauze pads in alcohol and gently clean the pimple and the area around it. You can expect it to sting a bit, but that just means the alcohol is doing its thing, cleaning and sterilizing the wound you created to empty the pimple. This will kill any remaining bacteria and help you avoid getting an infection. After you are done cleaning you can either cover the pimple with a small band-aid or you can use an anti biotic concealer to cover the remaining blemish.
And that’s all there is to it. Pimples can be very annoying and even embarrassing at times, but by following these simple steps you can quickly and safely how to get rid of pimples when they appear and keep them from messing with your social life.
